Welcome to Thread Tales!

My name is Catarina. I am a Portuguese woman living, in a small town in the South of The Netherlands, together with my husband and our three kids.

Next to my job at a care home, I am taking the first steps into my own business following my passion for creating and crafting.

This is a special place where I share my love for creative handmade products.

My hand made products are colorful and happy. I love to open my fabric drawer and start putting fabrics together and envision what it can change into. I am also in love with details and try to incorporate a little extra - a button, a lace, embroidery stitches, … – to my products to make them more special and unique.

Always guided by what gives me joy, I mix and match fabrics and get inspired from everything around me. With my products I want to reflect this joy and lightness, and bring those feelings to you too. I prefer to work with cotton fabrics, although I am open to try and mix other materials. I am still looking for ‘my style’ and just trying it out. Whatever the outcome, I just Love the process, from picking and making the patterns, choose the colors, add this little extra detail, to shipping the final product to you.

The hand made products, that you will find in the shop, are not mass-produced. I usually pick up one pattern and make a few items. This means that all the items are made with that bit more care and love – and you can see that in the final result! As you will also notice, the items are unique in its kind.

Your interest is top priority for me, so I hope you will enjoy my products as much as I enjoy making them available to you.
